CAS Blog 1 - Creative - Learning Outcome 1

Over the summer, and being in a very interesting situation due to the world wide pandemic, I decided to embark on a new creative outlet. I looked around my house and found that I had a vast array of canvases to choose from to create some paintings, and a few days previous I saw someone painting with only spray paint, canvas, and plastic bags. Throughout this brainstorming of materials, that only thing I lacked was spray paint, so I essentially said "What the heck?", and bought 2 cans of black and 2 cans of white spray paint. I set up a boot legged workshop under my beach house, envisioned what I wanted to paint, and started. When I finished, I was not only surprised, I realized that I was smiling the whole time through this creative process. After I finished, I kept creating them, they got better and better. My strengths that I identified throughout this experience were the hand movements, pressure on the spray nozzle, and envisioning what I wanted to create.
