CAS Blog - September 2020 - Activity - LO2

John Mazziotti Dr. Lee CAS September 15th, 2020         Activity - Learning Outcome 2 Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.     Throughout this summer and into this semester, I have been washing my family's cars as well as my own car. This is one of the ways that I got my exercise and some outside time. The main challenge that I had with washing cars was the extended amount of time that it took me to  hand wash each vehicle. Since I'm a perfectionist in some instances, the answer is a very long time(about an hour). So I then invested in a sponge mop that I alternatively turned into a car washing mop. My second challenge was the heat, the heat index outside during this day was about 99ºF. So in turn, I decided to put on a thermal long sleeve I had in order to stay cool. CAS Blog - September 2020 - Creativity - LO1

John Mazziotti Dr. Lee CAS September 2nd, 2020 CAS Blog 1 - Creative - Learning Outcome 1     Over the  summer, and being in a very interesting situation due to the world wide pandemic, I decided to embark on a new creative outlet. I looked around my house and found that I had a vast array of canvases to choose from to create some paintings, and a few days previous I saw someone painting with only spray paint, canvas, and plastic bags. Throughout this brainstorming of materials, that only thing I lacked was spray paint, so I essentially said "What the heck?", and bought 2 cans of black and 2 cans of white spray paint. I set up a boot legged workshop under my beach house, envisioned what I wanted to paint, and started. When I finished, I was not only surprised, I realized that I was smiling the whole time through this creative process. After I finished, I kept creating them, they got better and better.
